OK, Sorry for keeping you in suspense concerning if bees can have allergies! Samantha seems to be at the edge of her chair!
Yes, my little bee and me have allergies! The doc said it is causing Julies adnoids and sinus pathways to be aggravated all the time. So we are doing six weeks of continuing allergy meds and started Nasonex, and if she is still having problems at the end of six weeks, we will seriously consider taking at least the adnoids out, but not sure about the tonsils. Ugh! :( I trust this doctor very much and if he decides to do both that is fine. I've seen first hand how it helped Jessica. On the other hand, he could tell us at the end of the six weeks to have an allergy test done and no doubt she will undergo shots for many months. I'm not looking forward to holding her down every time she would have to have a shot!!!! I'm not sure I would even go there right now!!!
Did you know that Queen Bees can also have allergies...to LATEX! Doc has given me orders to go have labs drawn for latex antibodies. I also have to have a skin patch test to find out what other chemicals are causing those horrid hives that take over my entire body at an alarming rate! All this will happen in a couple of weeks and I'm happy to get it over!!!
Oh, Julie and I had a wonderful day though going to the docs! She was the most well behaved child I have ever met!! We went to Chik-fil-A after the first appointment and she told me that they may not be open yet, but we should check anyway! We then preceded to Hobby Lobby; which as moved to Turkey Creek Shopping Center. :( Boooo So, we went to The School Box and she had a ton of fun looking at all the toys and books. Then we went to A.C. Moore, and I was informed by Julie that it was her turn to learn how to crochet, as we walked along the isles looking at pretty yarn!!!
So we bees can have allergies, but we just don't know what to do about it yet!
