The poor thing laid at the bottom of the tree for about an hour and drifted in and out of consiousness. The kids watched it from the window to alarm me if it started to walk away, but I knew better, it was now seriously injured, on top of obviously having distemper or rabies. Before it climbed the tree it was facing off with the black cat that hangs out, only to chase the cat away. Guess I need to keep my eyes on the already crazy cats that hang out around here. GREAT!
It was sad, but my father-in-law came to "take care" of it. It had to be done. Jennifer told the little ones that it is now in raccoon heaven with Jesus. Aw! Ok, so that is a deeper subject that I'll not go into now.
