The Buzz is Back!

Bzzzzbzzzzbzzzz....I got my bees back!  I've been messing around with trying to change my background (if you didn't notice), and thought I had really messed everything up. I'll spare the boring details, but just had to let you know how excited I am to have the bees back!!  The kids REALLY like this background, so I'm not touching it again!!!  I just noticed a couple of quirks that will bug me, but I'll change it later.

Anywhoo.  Since this blog is also about our home schooling journey...and not really about my bunions, I thought it was time to get back to school stuff.  Recently on THL, I posted some forms and schedules that I use to help me keep the day going as smoothly as possible.  The schedule is inspired from Managers of Their Home at http://www.titus2.com/.  The rest is inspired from http://www.donnayoung.org/ .  They both have a wealth of great information to help you learn how to keep your days organized and running well.

Mind you, this hive is far from perfect and is always under construction, but we can get great things accomplished when we work together, and that is what these sites have helped me to do with my family.

Below are some forms that I regularly use to help me out with what is "suppose" to be going on around the hive.

Jessica Subject Qtr Planner. - This form I color coded for each child or grade level.

Master Schedule - This is our schedule for school and for cleaning.  The Weekly Cleaning Schedule is sort of new and I still need to work out some details but it gives you a good idea of what and when we try to clean.

You'll have to tell me if you can't get to these forms if you are wanting to use them.  Attaching documents is all new to me so I'm sure I've made a mistake!

Our school days have been going very well since using the new Master Schedule.  As a matter of fact, Jessica has been getting up early and starting on her work and usually finishes before lunch!  It's so nice for everyone to know what they should be doing and when.  Of course when we have to go to piano lessons and run errands our schedule changes a bit, but for the most part this is how we try to do it on most "normal" days.

Bzzzz you later!
