Following the feet, before and after!

On Thursday night, I decided a before shot of my feet was in order to start this journey. Below are some pics of my feet some 10 hours or so before surgery:

Well, here they are after! I promise...there are feet in there somewhere. I can see a little bit of my big toe...I think! Believe me though, the pain is a reminder that I do have feet in all that wrapping!!

Surgery took about 4 hours and I was home yesterday by about 4:00 PM. So far this has been very strange in the sense that I have not been as nervous as I thought I would be. As a matter of fact, I'm definitely not as nervous as other people say they would be. I guess after living with the pain of the bunions for all these years I was ready for something to be done!!

This is a horrible pain, and I can tell you exactly where the pins are at!!! I've never had a broken bone in my life, but now I can for sure say that I have!!! I have a walker right now and will be getting a wheelchair to use for doctor appointments and for when I need to get out of the house!! This is a pain I will not forget I can tell you that much. Every step feels like huge nails being pounded into my feet. But I am managing the pain pretty well. Actually, Phillip as been wonderful at keeping up with when I need to take my meds. He has been an Angel so far and I'm so thankful for him.

Well, the eyes are getting heavy and it's time to take a nap! I'll tell you more later!!
